Linda joined Clean Slate after being made redundant from her previous company. She started cleaning at Ivy Grove surgery but we quickly saw the potential in Linda and she was promoted to Team Leader in 2006 then again in 2007 to Assistant Manager where is worked closely with Clair.
After 4 years as an assistant she was in a perfect position to take over the reins as a Contracts Manager for the morning contracts.
When asked why she loves her job Linda commented “I just love sorting out issues and finding solutions to problems. There is nothing more rewarding than meeting a new customer who has cleaning issues and then my team and I go in and sort it out which makes the customer happy.”
We also asked Linda how she gets the best out of her cleaners “I gain their respect. They all know I was a cleaner when I started and that helps me gain their trust. I’m here to help them and make their lives easier so they can do a great job for the customers. I give them all the time they need to train, advise, motivate and encourage them to do a good job. Cleaning can be quite lonely if left alone so the team tell me they appreciate the visits and monitoring.”
