When Porterbrook Leasing, one of the UK’s three major railway rolling stock leasing companies, decided to relocate its Derby operations to new premises in Pride Park, it was determined that it wanted to its new offices looking first class. The company therefore appointed Clean Slate to handle its office and window cleaning services after a competitive tender and – a year after the move – continues to be delighted with the results.
Porterbrook Facilities Manager Karen Hayward explained, “we moved from a 1960’s building in the city centre to a slightly smaller but purpose-built development in Pride Park which was a major logistical challenge.”
“Having invested a great deal of time and energy in planning and executing the move it was our intention to keep the new building looking as good as it did the day we moved in. We were also particularly keen to use local suppliers.”
“I was extremely impressed with Clean Slate’s enthusiastic and professional approach to the tender process and their credentials, their triple guarantee scheme and the staff training which all matched up to a quality service.”
“Clean Slate understood our objectives from the outset and with the help of our own dedicated Clean Slate staff we are managing to fullfil those objectives, nothing is too much trouble.”
“Since moving to new premises we have far more visitors and first impressions certainly count. They want to meet up with us in surrounding that reflect the professionalism of the business so a clean environment is therefore a key aspect of our reputation and image.”
Ms Hayward concluded that there were several key elements to a successful relationship with any supplier:
“I want an open and honest relationship with a company that consistently delivers what they promise and is approachable and responsive to our needs. Clean Slate certainly delivers on all fronts.”
